MISS THAILAND 2006 CONTEST
(Saturday 2nd and September and on Sunday 3rd 2006, at The Alangkarn National Theatre, Pattaya, Chonburi)
Thailand is searching for the 42nd Thai lady to be crowned Miss Thailand 2006
Out all the numbers of applicants nationwide enrolled in the contest will be reduced down to 40 during the first round of the interview. The second round, being the final will be reduced to just 18l. The broadcasting of the programme will be exclusively televised live on ITV News Special Bulletins between Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd 2006.
Voters will be able to cast their vote during the broadcasting for a chance to win a luxury brand new car.
ITV in association with The Wachirawoot University, under the patronage of the Royal Project for the protection of Women, Thailand Authority of Travel and Tourism and Pattaya City are host organizers for the Miss Thailand 2006 Contest. The meeting for the event was attended by host organizers of the event as well as former Miss Thailand from past and present took place on 6th July at The Imperial Queen Park Hotel.
Application for the enrollment to Miss Thailand 2006 commences between 6th JULY-6th August, 2006 at S.C PARK HOTEL. On the 14th August the number of all registered applicants nationwide will reduced to 40, and on 15th August the number will be down to 18 from the previously chosen 40. The eighteen finalists, having selected from the last round will be entered into the Miss Thailand 2006 Contest. They will be taken to well-known top tourist attractions in and around Pattaya namely, Nongnooch Tropical Garden and The Million Years Stone Park and Pattaya Crocodile Farm to do some video shootings as well as trying to promote the city itself.
This year’s prizes for the Miss Thailand 2006 Contest consists of 1 million Thai Baht, a Prestigious Title Crown, a luxury car and many other Sponsors’ prizes. The event of Miss Thailand 2006 Contest will be televised live on Saturday 2nd and September and on Sunday 3rd 2006, at The Alangkarn National Theatre, Pattaya, Chonburi.
