PATTAYA CITY PREPARES INTERNATIONAL WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL EVENT

Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand (SADT) with Pramahatai Vocational school and Pattaya City, jointly organize Pattaya International Wheelchair Sports to develop the ability of Thai disabled persons to be excellent in athletics and to promote Tourism.
On the 27 July 2007, at 02.30 pm, at Pramahatai Vocational school, Gen.Phisal Watanawongsiri, chaired Pattaya International Wheelchair Sports event with Mr.Ronagit Akasing, deputy of Pattaya City, Father Worawut Saraphand, principle of Pramahatai Vocational school, joined to announce the 2nd Pattaya International Wheelchair Sports. The event will be on 22 – 25 August 2007, at Pattaya Indoor Stadium.
There will be invited Wheelchair Basketball teams from Japan, Iran, Singapore, Pakistan, Malaysia, Laos, Taiwan and Korea coming to join this International Wheelchair Basketball Championship.
Mr. Ronagit stated that sport activities will develop human both physically and mentally. Playing sports is very important for disabled persons to encourage the chance of their abilities to live effectively and proudly in the society. Besides, Pattaya International Wheelchair Sports is one of the projects to make people realize that sports are very essential in everyone’s live and further more it is to promote Pattaya City tourism to be well known
internationally as a sports city.
