There are about 20 surf schools, mostly on Jomtien Beach with Surf House International being one of the most popular. Winds vary throughout the year from 5 km in the morning with stiffer sea breezes in the late afternoon.
International tourneys are held in early December the Siam World Cup with national races is usually held in mid-April.

One thing to remember regarding Jet Ski Hire is the scams that go on in Thailand, you can have great fun using them but before you do remember to inspect the jet ski, point out any marks, scratches, dents however small and if you have a cam take snaps of them, dont sign anything because it probably say in Thai that you are responsible for any damages etc.
Be very careful, if you feel intimidated to sign anything or uncomfortable save your self some real hastle and dont hire them, if you do dont get racing with your pals or fooling around on them as you may get a huge bill.
